I have been using the Tellington TTouch
method since I first joined a one-day workshop with Sarah Fisher
in March 1998.
My
Cocker Spaniel Hobbes brought me to Tellington TTouch, which has
changed the course of our lives...
He
was asleep in my friends Campervan, when someone broke in and to
their surprise found a dog inside; they sadly and brutally beat
him up! From that
moment he changed from the most placid loveable friendly dog, to
one who was incredibly anxious and certainly nervous of any man
coming anywhere near him. Seemingly
frightened of his own shadow, he started barking at everything
and everyone. I
went to my vet and he prescribed calming tablets… these seemed
to make absolutely no difference whatsoever.
Almost insane, with feelings of guilt that I couldn’t
help my beloved dog I read an article in Your Dog magazine about
Tellington TTouch… it mentioned a one day hands on workshop in
Bath and I decided to go and see if it could help as the article
had suggested.
I was so impressed with how easy TTouch is to learn, the
techniques used and the ethos of the work that I decided there
and then to join the full time training to become a Practitioner
myself.
Very sadly, my beautiful boy
Hobbes died recently... however, we had seven very wonderful
enjoyable years together since incorporating the use of the
TTouch method into our lives and I once again saw my beloved boy
happy and free running around his local park enjoying meeting
people once again. I owe him my deepest gratitude for his
total unconditional love, devotion and bringing this work into
my life.
My
greatest joy from my first TTouch client in 1998 to the present
day is to combine this work, on a hole host of species of
animals, often with the co-operation and assistance of my vet,
with that of more formal dog training courses, dog language
skills, and behaviour trainings to teach this knowledge and
skills to others, so that they too can benefit from having,
happy, healthy and well-balanced companion animals.
